Plant Molecular Physiology Laboratory
We aim at creating Super-RuBisCO which has much superior enzymatic properties to RuBisCO existing in the nature. This will be accomplished through studies on the basic mechanism of RuBisCO reactions and molecular breeding of the genes.
We are also studying the mechanism of active-oxygen and high-salt tolerances.
These studies will be a clue to greeting of deserts in the world.
Participants in the Plant Molecular Physiology Laboratory,RITE, for the period of Aug., 2003.
