Although direct injection of CO2 into the deep ocean is believed feasible for the mitigation of the global warming, its impact on marine environment is concerned. To dilute the injected CO2 to the extent of little biological influence, using a ship that cruses and injects CO2 has been considered. To investigate the fate of CO2 near the ship and in a mesoscale site, a multi-scale ocean model, in which a small-scale domain involving the injection ship moves in the mesoscale domain, was developed. The simulation results suggested that the moving ship is effective to suppress the rise of CO2 concentration.
