We held a seminar at the Japan Pavilion of COP28 in Dubai.
RITE is conducting research on significant greenhouse gas reduction scenarios worldwide, socio-economic impacts and sustainable development.
We presented our research results at the Japan Pavilion of the COP28 Side Event.
Demand response to disruptions
We discussed the current situation, such as energy supply and use during pandemics and conflict situations, as well as extreme weather events (heatwaves, cyclones, etc.). The impact of new demand-based approaches (faster and more effective outcomes, such as focusing on prevention, co-benefits and well-being provision) versus conventional showed a comparison with its supply-side counterpart. A seminar on energy security based on a number of new perspectives.
