The EDITS 2023 Annual Meeting, "Improving wellbeing while avoiding dangerous climate change" was held in Lisbon, Portugal
An annual meeting was held to build on the following key themes as the basis for 2023 to advance further interdisciplinary dialogue on energy demand and climate change mitigation, conceptualization, analysis, policy formation, and modeling of interrelationships with SDGs.

The annual meeting started with a plenary session, providing many opportunities for in-depth discussion, dialogue, and connection. At the same time, sector-focused working groups and side events facilitated efforts to achieve fast-paced results and impact.
A total of 70 people from 18 countries (Japan, United States, Germany, India, Portugal, France, Austria, United Kingdom, Israel, Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium, Brazil, South Korea, China, Thailand, and Hungary) participated in the meeting. Of these, 58 people participated in person, and 12 people participated online. Attendees included people from various fields, including modelers, social scientists, economists, and engineers. Participation was by invitation only to ensure smooth discussion and attention to the definition of future collaboration.
