Senior Researcher, Systems Analysis Group, Research Institute of Innovative Technology for the Earth (RITE) since 2010; served as a member of the Japanese government delegation to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), supporting negotiations and working on international technology transfer and dissemination of low-carbon technologies since 2014; member of the CTCN Advisory Board (2018-2021) and the UNFCCC TEC (2021-); involved in national and international model comparison projects, and was the WG3 lead author on Chapter 6 (Energy Systems) of the IPCC 6th Assessment Report; contributed to the development of ISO 14068-1 (carbon neutrality) and ISO 14060 (Net zero aligned organizations).
